Middle leaders are leading the work of improvement in their schools — engagement, literacy, attendance, career readiness, the priorities that land on the desk and ask for results.
The capability this work asks of them is significant. Careful thinking about interconnected challenges. Understanding what's producing them under the surface. Challenging assumptions. Recognising what surface-level interventions can and can't reach. Building shared understanding with the people who lead and carry the work.

Coherence Co-Lab's newest workshop, The Perspective Shift, is designed to build that capability in real time through a structured method that is applied to a real challenge your team is working to address.
What it is.
The Perspective Shift is a two-hour workshop that broadens your thinking and your perspective about a challenge your school is working on.
You bring the challenge to the table, whether it's engagement, curriculum design, literacy, attendance, career readiness, or any other improvement priority you're leading. Your team brings the lived knowledge of what's happening on the ground. We bring the structured method. Together, we build a model of the challenge that surfaces what's underneath: the networked structures, relationships, and assumptions producing the challenge and holding it place. The invisible becomes visible, and from there you can see what has to change.
The workshop runs at the scale that suits the challenge. You might be a team of 15 working on something specific to your faculty. Or, you could be a faculty cluster looking at a shared challenge. You might be a whole school grappling with something that affects everyone or a system-level leader working across clusters and regions.
By the end of the session, your team has built a shared picture and broader definition of what the challenge actually is, and what would have to shift to see a change. You leave the session with three things. A different way of seeing the challenge. Ideas for shared practical next steps. A synthesis document a week later, with design questions that surface where the deeper change and improvement work needs to happen.
You also walk out having practised the capabilities that this work requires: adopting a systems perspective, identifying what's producing a challenge, recognising when surface-level interventions won't reach the cause, and using a structured process for collective problem-solving. These are capabilities recently named as core in the new Australian Professional Standards for Middle Leaders.
Within a week, you receive a synthesis: a clean version of the model we’ve built, a summary of what surfaced, the actions teams committed to, and three or four design questions that point to where deeper work could go.

Pricing
The Perspective Shift workshop pricing starts from $3,500. Pricing scales with audience size and scope of the engagement. Final pricing can be confirmed in a Calibration Conversation.
Introductory Pricing: As The Perspective Shift is a new offering, the first three schools to commission it receive 25% off the standard price, in exchange for contributing to the development of the offering through a case study, testimonial, and a 30-minute follow-up conversation at 4-6 weeks. Once the first three engagements are complete, the workshop moves to standard pricing for all subsequent commissioning schools.
Every Perspective Shift starts with a Calibration Conversation — a free 30 to 45 minute session where we look together at what your school is working on, get clearer language around it, and figure out whether this workshop is the right fit.
